Tree Preservation Order served land adjacent to Leat Road, Boscaswell Downs
Tree Preservation Order served land adjacent to Leat Road, Boscaswell Downs. Today I learnt that a provisional tree preservation order has been made in respect of the land adjacent to Leat Road, Boscaswell Downs, Pendeen. This is in recognition that trees are thought to be at risk from development proposals.
Some might argue that it is too late as many trees have gone. The Council’s tree officer recently visited the site and his dismay was summed up by the comments:
“A number of the trees have been severely damaged due to vandalism and cannot be retained. The site has clearly been subject to changes which have not improved the condition of the existing trees. ”
The Tree Preservation Order will be confirmed or cancelled after comments received are considered.
