Commemorative Councillor Plaque at Kerdroya
I had the chance to visit my Commemorative Councillor Plaque at Kerdroya on Sunday. The weather could have been better but it was nice to see the 3 stretches of Cornish Hedging I sponsored, including 1 to mark the time I served our local community as a Cornwall Councillor. If you click on the image, you can just about read it but it says: Cornwall Councillor, Sue James, St Just-in-Penwith, May 2013 – May 2024.
These couple of images set the marker disc in context and help you to see the marvels of the project.
The other 2 marker discs are more personal, celebrating my fathers life; born in London and dying here with me in Cornwall; and 1 commemorating my marriage in 1977 and our 1st home together in Surrey.
Kerdroya is still work in progress but it will open to the public in November and anyone heading there that wants to look out for my marker discs, the numbers are 164, 194 and 330.
