PARTNERSHIP IS BORN TO SECURE THE LIBRARY

Posted on: 2nd April 2014

On Monday 31 March, at a public meeting chaired by Cornwall Councillor, Sue James, St Just Town Council and the Friends of St Just Library agreed to work together to discuss, with Cornwall Council Officers, ways of securing the best long term future for the local Library and Tourist Information Centre. It is hoped that other partners might want to come to the table and that over the next 12 – 18 months, agreements will be reached that all involved will feel happy with. Sue James is committed to brokering the best deal for the Parish, within the financial constraints of Cornwall Council. She is also keen to support surrounding Parishes that might be affected by the loss or reduction of the mobile library service.
