Calling all community groups with buildings
Calling all community groups with buildings, and we have a few around St Just and Pendeen! Please take a little time to consider, and if appropriate, complete this. I’m helping spread the word but please share to help too!
A census of village & community halls has been launched by CRCC’s partner organisation, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE). This is an important survey for the village & community hall sector and is an opportunity for hall committees to share their current challenges with policy makers at a national level. The results will play a crucial role in shaping services for these vital assets locally as well as at a national level.
Please can you help us spread the word of this important national survey for all village and community centres, church halls, churches providing community use, WI halls, sport pavilions, Miners Welfare Institutes, WI halls and community pubs providing meeting rooms. In fact any building which provide space for community use.
ACRE release a comprehensive survey to the 10,000 village halls across England once every ten years. They will use the data collected to help secure funding for halls, to ensure that advice and information adapts to the challenges facing volunteer hall committees and that the ACRE Network can continue to provide the very best support to England’s network of halls. The survey is currently live, details can be found on the National village and community hall survey .
Please could you forward details of this survey to any contacts in your area who manage relevant facilities. The survey will be available for completion online until 31st March 2020.
It is important to read the instructions prior to starting the survey. Please note the survey can only be completed online.
