Cllr Sue James wants to support Cornwall Wildlife Trust to get kids outside to go wild

Cornwall Wildlife Trust: Supporting Kids to “Go Wild” in St Just and want us to get involved and help them.

PROJECT WILD THING – Trailer from Green Lions on Vimeo.

On Thursday I traveled to Falmouth Poly to attend a showing of the ‘Project Wild Thing’ film. The event was hosted by Cornwall Wildlife Trust. I went with Jill Neville, Chair of Bosavern Community Enterprises who recently bought Bosavern Community Farm, for the local community. We went because we wanted to see what the potential was to bring the Cornwall Wildlife Trust to the farm, to develop a partnership project.

As was the goal, Jill and I were inspired to get local kids outside, in the fresh air having fun. Hopefully they will then encourage mum, dad, granny and grandpa or the family next door to get down and wild at the farm too! To support the partnership between the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Bosavern Community Farm I am offering the right project funding through my community chest fund and I hope they can use any contribution I can give (up to £1,000) to attract some match funding. I am optimistic of a great project to engage local families with the farm and nature!

If you want to be inspired to get your kids outside going ‘wild’ then you can view the film on-line.
