Sad loss of Bernard Rees

I was sad to hear that, on Sunday, after a long period of illness, Bernard Rees died. I had hoped that we might achieve his vision/ passion for a Miner’s statue, in his life time, now I hope that local people will rally and donate funds to achieve it, in his memory. He gave many hours to the local community, the statue would be a fitting tribute to him, as well as to all the local miners and their families and the heritage of the Parish. RIP Bernard.
