Honey the Pig Update
Since Honey the pig was rescued from Boscaswell, it has amazed me how many people knew her. A chap walking his dog, from Trewellard, recognised her whilst I was feeding her the other day. He told me that, if walking that way, he used to put a few carrots in his pocket!
Then, to my surprise, chatting to some-one in St Just, she used to look out for Honey when going past on the bus. I am beginning to think she is the most famous pig in the West!
She has settled really well now. Her and our other pig, Martha, have become pals and I love to hear them ‘chatter’.
I have to say though, that this weather is even too wet for pigs. Anyone who has continued to visit Honey will have noticed we have changed the pig’s field.
Where they were was becoming so muddy that they were reluctant to come out. Mind you, if this weather does not change soon, the current field will be the same. Still, other parts of Cornwall and the Country have it far worse so lets be grateful it is only mud we have to contend with.
