St Just Methodist Chapel at risk

Iconic building in need of a plan

St Just Methodist Chapel, known as the Miner’s Cathedral, is at risk if an imaginative and sustainable plan is not developed quickly.

On Thursday 31st August 2017 at 12 midnight the St Just Wesleyan Methodist Chapel doors will be shut for the last time.

That is the time scale the Church Council agreed on at its meeting on Friday 4th March 2016; unless in that time they are able to be part of an umbrella organisation perhaps celebrating the Mining Heritage of St Just combined with other creative spaces. St Just grew from the mines, it should still have a large presence as part of the Tin Coast.
