National CLT Network pitch to help locals get decent homes.

Last week the National CLT Network launched its manifesto asking MPs, prospective MPs and political parties to sign up to their manifesto called ‘Our Homes, Our Communities’. They have an 11 point plan to enable local people, through Community Land Trusts, to be part of the housing crisis solution. On current projections, by 2020, community land trusts will have built 3,000 new homes but if the plan is taken up, by the next Government, this could be tripled.

Full details of the manifesto can be read here, including how you can get involved. National CLT Network Manifesto 2015

Cllr Sue James is involved with the Lands End Peninsula Community Land Trust and Cornwall Community Land Trust so, if you want to get in touch locally, email or ring her. The most westerly Trust have discounted sale housing available, in Pendeen, for £116,500. This is for 2 bed, newly built homes, with gardens and sea views.
