Sale of Poltair Hospital

Sale of Poltair Hospital has raised lots of local concerns, at many levels. I can now inform people that, under the ‘Deal for Cornwall’, where Government is giving the people of Cornwall more local control over matters that only affect Cornwall, there is some early good news.

I was told at a meeting this week that the money from the sale of Poltair will remain in Cornwall. This is hot news so I can say no more than that but both Health Service representatives and senior managers of the Council regard this as very good news!
