Locals & National Trust Volunteers wade in to improve our village pond, at the Leat, Pendeen.

Leat Pond, Pendeen

Wading in to remove blanket weed.

Last Thursday it was great to join locals committed to our pond but have the workforce boosted by National Trust volunteers. This came about because I bumped in to Lindsey Butterfield, a Ranger with the National Trust and said that the pond was getting a little out of hand for the mature locals that were trying to manage it.

The event was so successful that National Trust have agreed to this being an annual partnership, which is really great news.

My thanks to everyone who got involved.
