First Bus To Go Beyond Boscaswell Corner Again

I have been contacted by the Director of First Bus, Alex Carter and his emails says they “propose to extend three off peak journeys Mon-Sat on service 10 to operate beyond Lower Boscaswell via Portheras Cross, Pendeen to Morvah.” The email goes on to explain that the bus will turn around at Morvah and return to St Just and then Penzance. He says he will let me have a timetable once it is ready. The email concludes “The change is proposed for Mon 24 Feb introduction.”

Whilst I know local people will be disappointed that they have not agreed to provide a full service beyond Boscaswell Corner, I am pleased that those living at Portheras, Bojewyan and Morvah will again get some regular bus services. This combined with the less harsh price increase, for this area, shows that First South West will listen when a good case is made. I and I am sure local bus users, appreciate the help of Alex Carter.
