Cornwall Council is to join other Local Authorities in joining up to the Mental Health Challenge Project. The idea is to raise the profile of mental wellbeing. The project hopes to promote the importance of mental health to general health and wellbeing and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness. Councillor Rotchell will keep the Council up to date with National developments and act as a local champion to ensure that positive progress locally is recognised and spread.

Our Mental Health Services are often referred to as the Cinderella service but the Council is determined that mental wellbeing should be regarded as important as physical wellbeing.
