Cornwall Civic Awards: Nominations Open
Cornwall Civic Awards: Nominations Open!
The Cornwall (Council) Civic Awards were launched in 2015 by the Chairman in order that the Council could recognise anyone worthy of a formal ‘thank you’ for their contribution to their community. This could be through services to the welfare of others or any other achievement or effort that Councillors feel deserves highlighting. The Cornwall Civic Award gives Cornwall Councillors the opportunity to pay tribute to those in their communities who really have made a difference.
You will see from this description above that I can just quietly pick someone myself BUT, I prefer other people to nominate to me and then I will pick from the community nominations.
So, by Tuesday 3rd March email me (sue.james@cornwallcouncillors.org.uk) the following information about the person that has made a difference to our community of St Just/ Pendeen areas. I need to know:
- Your Name
- Name of the person you are nominating
- Contact details of person being nominated, address, email and contact number (all if possible)
- Details of how they make a difference to our community.
Please do not tell them you are suggesting them as I would not want them to be disappointed if I do not put them forward or if they are not selected by the Chair of Cornwall Council. I will not be telling you whether they were put forward or not, as that way it definitely remains a secret till the person is contact by the Civic Office.
Thank you for helping and I know there are many special people so, if not chosen, they will still be special to you and me and many others in our wonderful community.
