Cllr Sue James questioned lack of progress at St Just Library. Today, at the Partnerships Portfolio Advisory Committee, Sue James asked the portfolio holder for Libraries for an indication of the timetable for progressing towards being able to use volunteers, to work with staff, to increase the hours our local Library may open.

The reply indicated that options for Cornwall’s static Libraries would be presented to the Partnerships Portfolio Advisory Committee on 23 July. Cllr James was advised that any changes to the way static Libraries operate had to be taken forward as a County and not individually. Piloting different options at different libraries was not ruled out but the response indicated it would be unlikely for matters to progress at St Just until after 23 July.
