A Sanctuary in Cornwall conference has been arranged for 1 December.

The event aims to discuss the importance of Cornwall as a place of Sanctuary. This is an invite to every school, business, community group and organisation to declare their place a place of sanctuary.

Speakers include Gulwali Passarly, Afghan political refugee, author of The Lightless Sky, and Vice President of the United Afghan Peace Movement; Paddy Dowling, Cornwall based humanitarian Photojournalist; Manda Brookman, Social entrepreneur and activist, founder of Cornwall: a Million Acts of Sanctuary; Esme Page, founder of Cornwall Hugs Grenfell.

This will be an exciting and important day, the first of its kind in our Cornwall and an opportunity to listen, discuss, reflect with others, and plan to help.
