Community Chest Spending in St Just and Pendeen for 2017/18. Well, it has been a strange year in that I’ve had very few applications.

I’ve given £500 to enable the Skate Park & Recreation Ground Committee to get up and running to work with Cornwall Council to improve St Just Recreation Ground, including replacing the Skate Park. Cornwall Council has £30,000 set aside for the project but this will not even cover the replacement of the skate park.
I also allocated £499 to the Methodist Chapel to improve the kitchen facilities in the community hall.
Through my Crowdfunding allocation, I gave £100 towards a Cornwallwide Male Voice Choir event, knowing how strong the tradition is down West.
